I currently have a sql database on Server 2008 R2, we take backups of the server daily through Veeam as it is virtualized. My question is though, do I also need to be backing up the sql server another way? Or is Veeam fine, since it backs up the entire server including all the files etc. I can see the SQL databases in the Veeam back ups. But wanted to get your opinion on this. Should I create a job in SQL Studio Manager that does a daily back up of the DB's as well? What are your thoughts?
