I have two softwares which use two separate databases on the same DB Server, ERP DB and Lab DB. I have created a view on ERP DB which I would like to share with Lab DB. I did that by means of a second view on Lab DB which selects entries from ERP DB.
When I run my Crystal Report from the Laboratory software I get an error. The report has the Lab DB tab linked in it and should gather data from it, but instead it returns an authentication error, such as if the users do not have permissions to see the view itself. But my guess is that the view just redirects to the ERP DB which the users don't have permissions on. The software uses one DB account for each software user, so it is not easy to add permissions to the view.
