Customer's server crashed and is being rebuilt. We are moving a program to a temp workstation to run the application for a few weeks until the customer gets the server back up. Here is the server info and the actual question below:
Old Crashed server:
OS: Server 2003 32bit | SQL: 2005 express 32bit | 4GB Ram | 2 core proc
Temp Workstation:
OS: Windows 8.1 Ent 64bit | SQL: ???? | 4GB ram | 4 core i7
The customer plans to move to this windows 8.1 box for a few weeks then move the databases back to the server after it's rebuilt. They have limited resources and are making due with what they have at the moment.
New Rebuilt Server:
OS: 2008 32bit non R2 | SQL ????? | 4GB ram | 2 core proc
So in the end we are moving from the first server to the temp server to the rebuilt server. What I need to know is what version of SQL express could be used for...
