I have a friend who's SQL server is presently being flooded with event id 24 and 43 messages. I've replaced his hostname for privacy.
Error 24's description: FileWriter: usp_CheckFileRow call failed. FileRowKey = 5742491, SQLStatus = -1, Error msg = .
Error 43's description: ODBC Driver returned the following error: Client Name = (*HOSTNAME*): ¥9®qà SQL State = É ‚| ', Native Error = 1310720
I can't find anything out in Google land for either of these errors.
He's running a Windows 2003 server that is limited to 4gb total system memory. His database is much larger then that. Earlier he had reported to me errors that had to due with memory pressure. I had previously suggested he upgrade the OS to one that can provide more memory resources to SQL.
What can you make of this?
