Alternative Activity Monitor for SQL Server 2008 R2?

We're upgrading our ERP which entails moving from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008 R2. (I know, I know - even 2008 is now old but the ERP doesn't support 2012.)

Like many people, it seems, I was horrified to see what Microsoft had done to Activity Monitor in 2008. It's virtually useless. And I'm hoping that since its launch all those years ago, many third-party alternatives have been released. However, I couldn't find any on a quick search. Besides, what I really want is a recommendation of one (if they exist).

Do you have a better Activity Monitor for SQL Server 2008? (For "better" read "as good as it used to be in SQL Server 2005".)

Thanks in advance.
