We have Windows Server 2012 R2 with SQL Server 2012 installed.
I are trying to upgrade a software we use called Prophix and it requires SSIS 15.0 (we are currently on SSIS 11.0).

I have little experience with Windows Server and have never had to update/upgrade SQL Server. I read I could do this by opening the SQL Server Installation Center > Maintenance > Edition Upgrade.
When doing this I receive an error "This program has compatibility issues" and I choose the "Get help online" option and it returns a no solutions prompt.
Is there a way to upgrade SSIS 11.0 to SSIS 15.0 and remain on SQL Server 2012, or do I need to upgrade SQL Server 2012 to a newer version?
Edit: Corrected SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012.
