I am having a very weird connectivity issue between Pentahoo and a MSSQL server. We have this Pentahoo in a RHEL machine using the JTDS driver to connect to the database.
Problem is, it doesnt always work, some times we get a " Unable to get information from SQL Server" error.
I have done some testing and it seems like if there are no active SQL connections/sessions between the servers the job will always fail, but if you run it a second time it will work, and will keep working as long as you launch it in a few minutes since the last one stoped.
Now, the weird thing, I ran Wireshark on the MSSQL server side and it seems like the Pentahoo always sends 2 queries to the MSQL browser port (1434) instead of just 1, the difference is that when the job fails the SQL Browser will only answer one of the queries, whereas when the job suceeds the...
