I have a SQL Agent job that runs a few stored procedures, then fires off an email to send out the assembled data. It has been running since the beginning of 2014 without issue, and generally has a runtime of 1-2 minutes.
Starting a few days ago, the job stopped functioning properly. If it even finishes at all, it takes up to 6 hours now. No changes were made to the server during this time, and this is the only job out of the dozens run every day that is having an issue. Once it starts trying to run the stored procedures, it just sits there, taking forever. When I look at the task, some threads are suspended, some are runnable, and some are actually listed as running, but nothing appears to be happening despite a completely quiet system.
I thought that perhaps the plan might have somehow gone bad and cleared the plan cache, but it makes...
