So, I finally got my last SSIS package working. Itmoves data from our AS400 into a database hosted elsewhere using linked servers. I was so happy that the projectwas over, but we have many more uses for SSIS and I'm stuck already at the next one. This stuff really shouldn't be so complicated!
My current project takes data from a SQL2000 database (yes, I know, but we still have an AS400, remember?), and shove it into the AS400. Moving data *from* the AS400 elsewhere works in the last SSIS,but not the other way around.
I think I've received every type of error possible - from errors stating that there was a mismatch in data types, data truncation, to a -313 (number of host variables not valid), then a -301 (Input host variable &2 or argument &1 not valid). I've manipulated the query a number of ways trying to simplify, so we've ended up...
