Hi all. I'm wondering if anyone can help recommend a tool for me.
I'm hoping to find a utility that can monitor SQL Server jobs. We have several important overnight processes here. If one of them errors/dies, I won't see it until I get up the next morning, and it pushes everything back a few hours. Ideally, I'd particularly love a tool where I could put in upper limits for processing time and be alerted if its exceeded. For example, if I have a job I know usually completes in 15 minutes, I could set an upper limit of 60 minutes and be alerted if the job runs over that. That would help me respond to stuck or problematic jobs. Standard alerting in case of a straight-up failed job is also necessary.
I havent quite been able to find what I'm looking for yet, so I wanted to ask here. If I can't find it, I'll probably just end up writing it...
