We're restoring our production SQL Server to a new larger RAID-10 array, ran into a problem with the SQL databases. Backup Exec 2010 R3 is throwing an e000848C error when trying to restore the SQL databases. This translates to a missing resource...but doesn't specify exactly what resource.
Since there are currently NO SQL data structures in place (master, etc.), could that be the issue? If so, how do we restore what we can't restore?
I don't normally backup SQL like this, I normally backup the actual files, both data and log, restore from that, always clean, never have a problem. Not this time. Don't have the data and log files, just the SQL backups.
Can anybody assist and provide a solution to the e000848C error preventing us from restoring the SQL databases to the new array?
Thanks!
