SQL2008r2 Virtual Processors

Hi Guys,

Hope for some advice here.

Running a guest vm server 2008r2 VM with SQL 2008r2 on heper-v server 2012 host. Currently we have 4 virtual processors assigned to the guest with SQL running on it.

1) Do I face any possible issues if up the virtual processors to 12 or 24 for the SQL guest vm.
2) Would I need to make any adjustments to SQL when addidng additional virtual processors.

I do not want to affect stability or stand a chance of corrucpting the databases.
