Ok so at the risk of having the noob question of the day... I am installing SQL Server 2014 for a small business, they only have one server (light to medium duty but over equipped for what they need). I remember vaguely that you should not install a SQL server instance on a domain controller. Anyone know why?
Brief background: It is a 3 month old server running Server 2008 enterprise, has enough RAM and processing power (by my estimates) to be a domain controller and run SQL 2014. A newer 6 core Xeon, 24 gb ram (about to be expanded). A decent RAID controller and plenty of space and speed with SAS drives. No VM's are running on the server.
