SQL Server 2014 vs WID for WSUS

So I have a multi-purpose server at my house that I'm using to test different capabilities. I have WSUS running on it, but the WID requires about 1.5-2GB of RAM to hold the tables in memory. I was wondering if installing SQL 2014 and enabling compressed tables would reduce the amount of memory required?

Also, does anyone have any recommendation on which version of SQL 2014 to install? I have Enterprise, enterprise core, Business Intelligence, developer, standard, and web. I'm not certain what the differences between them are. Basically I want to reduce the amount of memory required for the WSUS tables.
