I am looking for some guidance on SQL Server software. We are currently using SQL 2005 for some ERP software and the new version we are going to will require a newer SQL version to run the updated software.
I'm getting mixed messages from the people who sold our company the software. At one point they claimed they could use SQL Express 2012 (free) and this would be okay.
Then after further discussions and going back to that point, she claimed there is a limited number of users than can be concurrently connected to SQL at any one time.
Is that true? We will have probably no more than 20 people (more like 10 concurrent but using higher numbers for peak) using this software and thus using SQL Express 2012 concurrently on average.
Do I really need to buy Full SQL 2012 and a bunch of CALs? Should I use Express? Should I just buy a...
