SQL 2012 (even with SP1) increases the identity counter of a table by 1000 on a restart of SQL. Anyone have a fix for this? Microsoft says it's a feature and not a bug... I've tried a few "fixes" posted on different sites and none work. I have also tried running SQL 2012 in compatibility mode for 2008 and it still didn't work. Any thoughts?
