What's going on fellow server admins and IT Professionals,
I have a hardware migration coming up, and I wanted to get some of you to comment on my migration plan and see if there are any gaping holes here.
Here is the background:
I am currently using Four servers running:
dual Intel Xeon E5-2695v4 processors, 192GB RAM, dual 10GBASE-T cards, PERC H730 Integrated RAID controller, two 200GB SSDs with room for six additional drives, DVD ROM, and two redundant 550W power supplies.
Two PowerEdge 710R's have their own NAS (NETAPP) for the VM's. This gives me four total. I have another set up just for DR, but let's not get into that.
I will be migrating to a similar setup (Dell XR2's), however, there are three now. so a huge bump in power.
