Need some advice. We have multiple SQL servers on remote places eg standlone server in AWS (not domain connected), one in a separate site etc. We have full access to each server and SQL database but none are connected to corp network fully eg vpn, nor can they be all the time.
We want to use powerbi to start to interrogate the data. The data is very similar in each database so hence we are thinking, can we bring a regular copy from each site into a central location every night. Reattached the database (overwriting existing) so powerbi desktop will then just show latest data.
Alternately, happy to look at SQL to Azure Database replication but am conscious of the cost considering looking at replicating like 10 databases.
Open to all ideas.
