What I have:
I work as an IT Manager and having problems with the development department, I don't have experience with Microsoft SQL Server, the version we have installed is SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition over Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.
Our application is built on .Net executable file and that executable file file communicates with the SQL database over the network, the development team upgrade this exe file from time to time.
We have around 70 users working on that system.
We cannot upgrade the version of the SQL or the server because it is a legacy application we are using.
My Issue:
The development team informed me in case there is one user from the 70 users having issues with his pc or a network issue, the whole 70 users will get affected, meaning the database will freeze and there will be no way for them to work unless...
