I have a server running SQL server 2008R2/SQL Server 2008 R2. I just purchased server upgrades - Server and SQL 2012.
Right now it was simply running RAID 1, which is terrible for databases, I know. I have 2 1TB WD Black Drives that I planned to increase the storage with before upgrading. I though it was already in RAID 5 at least, but no. So now my question is:
Should I get another drive to put it in RAID 5 or should I get another 2 and throw it in RAID 10? Is there performance much better? This is ONLY going to run SQL server 2012, nothing else.
