Hi all,
im after some advise.
we have an SQL Server on Hyper V and i am wanting to get a High Availability configured.
From the research i have done Hyper V replication should not be used for SQL servers, and instead use SQL always on.
I do not want to load balance this server, all i am wanting is if the primary server has issues, the backup server kicks in straight away or i start the Hyper V like i would in Hyper V replication.
Database size is 10GB with around 60 staff members accessing it.
Is SQL 'always on' the right solution for me, or should i be looking at something else. The data does not have to be live, a sync every 30 minutes or 1 hour is fine.
Thanks
Matt
