Help!-How to fix HV cluster post renaming VHDX files - cluster volume missing.

Hi guys

Hope you can help. I have 2 x SQL 2014 VM running on Hyper V Cluster and they are in their own SQL failover cluster via Microsoft Windows Failover Cluster. The sql data, backup and log disks are residing on cluster shared volume. Whoever setup the cluster at outset named the vhdx files wrong. e.g. sqldata.vhdx actually holds the sql backup files and vice versa. I shutdown both VMs and removed the VHDX from the VM's renamed them, added them back into the VM and then booted up both VM's. However the Cluster Disks are not coming online. They don't have any volumes attached in failover cluster manager. I shutdown the VM's when I noticed this and renamed the VHDX files back exactly as they were and booted back up the VM's but same issue. (see screenshot).

In a bit of a bind here - can anyone guide me on how to resolve this issue?
