Hi all!
We are a staffing firm are no longer working with a cloud company that used to host all of our internal/external employee data. We haven't been with them for more than a year, but still kept an active account with them for a few hundred a month because we may be asked to pull documents, like I9's, child support garnishments, etc. This company is now raising the cost to several thousand per month.
We have, what they tell us, is all of our data as a SQL backup blob which is about 80GB compressed.
I have fired up an AWS Windows Server with SQL Server and uploaded the SQL bak to there. We can open the database and get basic information about ex-employees and all that stuff, the problem comes from trying to access any of the documents like WORD files or PDF's that may have been uploaded alongside that employee's profile.
Now not me, but...
