Hi,
We installed KB4505224 yesterday via Windows Update and the version of SQL Server 2017 Standard Edition shows 14.0.2027.2.
If I try and install the latest Cumulative Update (15)https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4498951/cumulative-update-15-for-sql-server-2017it states the following error message.
Text
A SQL Server update with a higher version has already been installed on SQL Server instance SQLEXPRESS, so the current SQL Server update cannot be applied. The version of the SQL Server update that is already installed is GDR 14.0.2027.2(14.0.3180.0) with a KBKB4505224 and the current SQL Server update is 14.0.3162.1 with a KBKB4498951.
Do I need to uninstall KB4505224 and then install CU15, then install any Windows Updates to get this version of SQL Server 2017 up-to-date?
Thanks
