I have a client that just got a new LOB. It uses SQL 2016 to run the DB then has a client app on each PC for the front end that access the SQL DB. I haven't had a LOB with on prem SQL in a long time since most of our clients use cloud apps now. On average there are 7 people in the software at a given time. The SQL server is a hyper V vm that I allocated 12 virtual cores to clocked in at 2.3ghz, 32GB ram and the virtual disks are sitting on SSDs. Occasionally users are getting application errors where it's saying out of system resources when they say try to open a PO. But no one gets the error at the same time. And a different user can go right in and access that same PO well the other person is still having issues accessing it.
When they reached out to the software company they are saying it's a server resource issue and I didn't spec...
