Using fewer large disks vs more smaller disks in a RAID setup

Hi Guys, I have been pondering on this thought for some time, I have a requirement where I need to use SSD's for my HPE Gen 10 server and I need about 7Tb of space to start with for the SCCM application server.

So, the toss-up is between using 6 X 1.92TB disks vs 10 x 960 Gb disks in RAID 6 ( Some say that using Raid 10 is beneficial when compared to Raid 6 but let's stick to Raid 6 for this setup)

If I use many smaller disks the benefit would be that if a disk fails, the rebuild time will be faster

But since I am using SSD'S the performance improvement is so much better than it makes sense using larger disks as the rebuild speeds would be quicker when compared to standard disks.

So I am looking for some pointers to best spec my server when it comes to disks.
