If there are any Microsoft SQL cluster experts in the house - hoping you can help.
I have taken over a SQL Cluster (2 Hosts) and the last admin that set it up named the disk and cluster shared volumes wrong as well as a VHDX file. I would like to rename them as its very confusing. I'm wondering what the impact might be?
The cluster is a production server only at weekends so we can make changes during the week and can stop the cluster etc if required.
To give some more detail. 2 Hyper V Hosts hosting 2 SQL VMS with disks that sit on shared storage.
The SQL Backups cluster shared volume that you see when you open the disk management screen on the SQL server ( and its related VHDX file (sqlbackup.vhdx)) is actually holding the live SQL data.
The SQL Data CSVFS and similarly named VHDX file is holding the SQL logs files.
SQL Logs CSVFS...
