OK.. I set this up in SQL 2008R2 with no issues, SQL 2014 says 'piss off'.
On the SQL Server in Management studio. Logged in as the server administrator, with domain and SQL admin rights.. created a mail profile, all settings are as they should be for our on premises Exchange server. Creation comes back as successful.
Restarted all SQL services. Go into Management Studio, Database Mail, Configure Database Mail, Manage Database Mail accounts... it's there.. OK.. so Cancel out.. Go back into Database Mail, Send Test Email... it gives me:
So, click next, then 'Manage Database Mail..' again, and the email profile is there. I can see it configured.. but SQL 2014 still says that the account it brings up, doesn't exist.. If I create a new one and name it the same.. it gives me the error that the profile, exists.
What the He_ _ ..... !!
