Upgrading Domain Controllers...SQL question

Hello all.

We will soon be upgrading our Domain Controllers from Windows 2008 R2 (2003 functional level) to 2016 (2016 functional level). Before we do so, I want to make sure this will not have any ill effect on our SQL server 2012? Mostly referring to the functional level.
