I have a core Server running 2 instances of SQL server 2016 std,
The problem is that one needs to listen on custom ports.
So I have SSMS 2017 installed on a separate server(management server) and want to use the SQL Configuration Manager to connect to these instances.
I have run the MOFCOMP commands and done allowed WMI/Ports through the firewall but just cannot get the Manager to connect to the SQL instances.
All other remote admin tools work, including Services, Disk management, etc...
I have attached the error I keep getting. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
