We are having an issue where emails sent by both SSRS and from SQL jobs themselves are being received in multiples, usually twice, but sometimes three times. We had to shut down the server room for Hurricane Florence, the issue appeared after bringing it back up again. At first, we thought the issue was limited to SSRS, but today our biggest customer complained about duplicate invoices, which is a straight SQL job built by an outside vendor. This is running on Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2008.
Things we have tried:
We have restarted the server multiple times (routine maintenance on Sundays)
Checked all SMTP settings
Completely disabled antivirus on the SQL server
Recreated the SSRS jobs from scratch (same user)
Created a test SSRS job (subscription) from a different user - this did work, we only received this email once in our test...
