I notice the last few days our SQL server 2008 R2 was using 23.5GB out of 24GB memory. The SQL server runs our ERP system. Users was getting very slow logins and slow generating reports or "Not Responding". I resolved it by restarting the server. The SQL server is now utilizing 5.21GB and gradually rising.
I would like to put a cap of how much the SQL server should be utilizing BUT I do not know what the number I should put. Please look at the screen shot below. Here is the default setting in the SQL server memory options.Please let me know what number I should put in for "Minimum server memory" & Maximum server Memory".
