connecting an oracle and a sql database on different VMs

i need to connect a database adventureworks on a sql server database on a VM with ip address 172.27.56.1 port 1433 to an oracle database ORCL with an ip address 172.27.57.255 port 1521 i will need to get them to talk to each using a select statement and an insert to each ???
