Our organization is being audited by Microsoft (sigh) and I find myself in a bit of a pickle.
Before taking over the IT department, we had a dodgy kebab service provider who sold a ton of tech to our company. This included MS software... not good. I've managed to phase out the majority with the intent on purging my environment by end 2017, but Microsoft came a knocking before we completed it. Murphy's law ey.
Anyway, one of the product keys I need to provide proof of ownership for is our SQL server installation. I've tried several techniques, (including a user PS script which just pumped out BBBBB) but none of them worked.
A bit of research into the BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB product key came up with multiple hits indicating that it basically means the script isn't working.
Has anyone worked around this issue in the past? I find...
