Security and installation

Hi, All

So, as part of the security revamp/tightening etc...

We revoked all local admin access for our users and provided each device with a single local user that has full local administrator access.

All well and good.  IF a piece of software needs to be installed, just run the installer as that user (using UAC to prompt for it) and off you go.

Great, until it comes to installing SQL server.

When you install SQL, you receive an error saying the Installer account does not have permission to ‘manage and audit the security log’.

I've tried the local policy and tried to give that user access (It's not a domain user, so that made sense to me!) but it hasn't worked.

Can anyone help guide me to the right place, please?
