So I'm not sure if this is just my way of complaining or seeking compassion from my peers but I have an interesting tale that I could use some help with...
So here it goes... Receiveda request from a sister company yesterday that asked for us to open a port in our firewall to allow their AWS housed application to see the SQL server on our internal LAN... (if this doesn't scream GRRRR....)
Needless to say, my answer was "NO!" with a reply of "But you can..." Again, my answer was "NO!"
I informed them that there is a perfectly acceptable VPN server that they can connect to from AWS without any need for me to expose the heartbeat of our company to the outside world. I guess they know how to use the word no too? Because they are unwilling to go that route...
So the question is, and I'msure someone else is going to have a similar question, What...
