I've been searching around, and Google searches have brought up nothing for what I need. All the search results just talk about local SQL server backups, nothing about backing up a DB in "the cloud." Surely someone has dealt with this before.
My company has a new trio AWS RDS (SQL Server) databases. While it is redundant and highly available, I still need to backup the data in them in case the apps or people that use them write some bad data or accidentally delete something. I would also like to have the option of keeping some of the backups in cloud/AWS storage while keeping long term copies (up to 3 months worth) on our storage. Fortunately, this doesn't go into production use for several more weeks, so I have some time to figure this out.
Does anyone here know of any options for this purpose?
