SQL cluster storage allocation

Hi guys,

So I've been tasked to do some lab research for a physical clusters involving Windows S2012 and MS-SQL S2012. I've been given 2x DL380 Gen8 servers with 5x 450 SAS disks each. The idea is have the systems on Raid-1 volume while the SQL data will be on Raid-5 volume (eventually this will be improved to Raid-10 and Raid-6 or 50). SAN is not considered at this time.

I've been reading a lot and cannot really find a good guideline for physical clusters (required by vendor). I cannot see the data volume/disks from failover cluster manager. Is it possible to use the locally attached storage for SQL data? I would be happy for any input that would get me going.

My apologies for being naive in this area...
