Thanks in advance for your time and knowledge on this issue.
Application: SQL Server 2012 running on w2012 R2
Issue:
every 15-45s we get the following error in event viewer:(Event ID 8646)
Unable to find index entry in index ID 1, of table 965578478, in database 'msdb'. The indicated index is corrupt or there is a problem with the current update plan. Run DBCC CHECKDB or DBCC CHECKTABLE. If the problem persists, contact product support.
Root Cause: Unknown????
At this point I can barely spell SQL. That being said we are using a our vendor to help with this issue. They are suggesting to re install the SQL to resolve issue. This is not a problem. Purpose of my post is to gain knowledge and better understanding of the root cause. Also pick up any recommended Books, Videos, etc to help my learning curve in this area.
