Long story short I'm having to re-setup up the log shipping for our 3 database. I've got the 2 smaller database setup and attempted to setup the log shipping for the largest this morning.
The primary server said everything was correct and it had been restored. I checked the secondary and the database was there. The initial backup file was approx 35 gigs in size, which is about right. The first transaction log it sent however was 66.6 gigs and size which has basically caused that process to not work.
Is there any reason why the first transaction log would be bigger than the full database? In the past that I've set this up that first transaction log is a fraction of the size.
This is on MS SQL Server 2008 R2 (Server 2008 R2)
