I recently implemented Windows Server backup on a 2012 server for bare metal backup of a SQL server.
After doing so I noticed that daily differential backups that are run within SQL do not run as they do not see the Full backup.
This thread describes the issue but am wondering if there is another solution than disabling the SQL VSS writer.
