SSRS 2014 Export to Excel Unreadable Content Error

I just migrated my SSRS 2005 reports to 2014.  For the most part the migration has gone smoothly.  However, when exporting reports to excel, with number fields that have a 0 value, I get an unreadable content error.  The reports still open, but every place I have a zero value, the field is populated with "0.0000000000000000".

After searching the web, it appears that Excel cannot handle 18 decimal places that SQL uses to store a number.  I've created a work around in my reports using an expression.  But I really don't want to do this for every report I have.  I found a post from Microsoft saying they were going to fix this issue in Excel (that was back in 2013).  But I have the latest version of Excel, so where is the fix?

Anyone have an easy fix?
