I apologize from the beginning: I am not a SQL person and this question might be too general and too vogue but if not here then where. right? :)
We have aninternally-developed software that runs on a SQL database (2014 ent)in the back and Microsoft Access in the front. This program has been here since the beginning of this company. During the years the company expanded and opened 2 additional remoteoffices.The way that our users work on it is simple: they have a local copy of the database copied to their machine every morning and their machine has an ODBC connection to the SQL server.The DB size is about 5GB. That's just the background to the question and here it comes:
The users in our HQ office where the SQL serveris are workingin that software 2-3 times faster. The users in the 2 remote offices are working on it 2-3times...
