DocuWare With SQL Install - No Authentication Server Running

I am trying to set up our DocuWare Server to our main SQL server to a new instance I created just for DocuWare. Each time the install fails because it gives this error:

We tried a local DB (MySQL) DB that Docuware provides and it worked. So, I am thinking it is having problems talking back to my SQL Server.

What do I need to check on the SQL end? All the correct ports are open for remote access but perhaps I've not done enough for this Authentication Server problem. I am a novice/intermediate SQL Server Admin and any suggestions would be appreciated.
