MS SQL Server 2012 License

Hi,

I need someone to help me & explain on MS SQL Server 2012 licensing.

I have 2 Hyper-V hosts. On host_1 I have VM database server (4 v-cores) licensed with MS SQL Server 2012 Standard version (4 core licenses). I do a replication to host_2 for this VM. In case host_1 is down I still can manually "on & run" the VM on host_2 for temporary until host_1 back.

So my question is:

- is my current license covered for replica server?

- do I need extra license for this?
