The School that is having the issue is running Server 2003 and on their server they have SQL 2000. This SQL is the database for their Library program.
The Library program will not start, every time it comes back with an error stating that it cannot 'initialize the database.' When I look at the server I can tell the database is not running. When I go to services I can see it's the one service, called 'Faircom Server,' that will not start. When I try to start it manually it comes back saying the service started and stopped automatically because it had nothing to do. When I try to start the service from the SQL agent it comes back with an error saying, 'The network path cannot be found.'
That's all I have to go on, I can't find anything in the Event Viewer logs, when I searched the logs for SQL it didn't say anything about this database.
