I was looking to see if anyone has set up a linked server to Sybase. Is it recommended to install SQL Anywhere on the MS SQL server? It seems like this would be the only way to obtain the drivers unless it can be done by a generic MS ODBC connection. The scenario is that we have an SQL 2012 cluster as well as another application that runs Sybase. We would like to reach into Sybase from SQL and pull out data.
