Here is an odd one. I have SQL Server 2014 (not sp1) running in a cluster. Everything seems to be working fine. No performance issues or no crashes/error log issues.
However, I can only backup a DB once after I restart (not reboot OS) SQL Server. If I try to backup the db a second time it fails, does not matter if I wait minutes, hours or days. I have tried switching backup locations and even have tried backing up to our Azure account. They all work the first time and fail on the subsequent attempts.
Both machines are fully updated Windows Server 2012 R2. The only update available is SP1 for SQL Server. The failover is a Hyper V, while the active node is a physical server.
