Ok, this is likely a topic that has been beaten like a dead horse, but his is my dead horse I have to deal with.
The SQL DB I inherited recovery Model is set to full, consequently the transaction log needs attention. The DB itself is small 77MB running in SQL 2008 r2.I'd prefer to set it to simple recovery and be done with itbut to get there I need to ensure the backups are truncating the file correct?
The Server has 2 daily fulls run from WSB, also inherited.I don't think this is truncating the transaction log and would not allow me to go to simple recovery. I also have recently installed Veeam to capture the 2 VM's we haveas I don't care for WSB and would like to end it's need once I get a handle on Veeam.
What should/could I do to reign in my 13GB transaction log simply and efficiently without taking the DB down for maintenance?
