Hello,
A bit of background: I work for a company who operates Sage 200, I am in the process of setting up spiceworks - not sure when I will finish depends how much work comes in during the coming weeks. A current issue that has been plaguing me for a couple of months is our Sage SQL server, its an 8-core Xeon, 20GB server running MS Server 2008 R2 and SQL server 2005.
The memory usage ramps up massively throughout the week to the point it nearly maxes out, at this point the Sage 200 application seems to lag a lot for most of the users on the network, I have a scheduled restart set for once a week in the early hours but I don't think its the best practice and was just a quick fix. I have skills in SQL server but I am not a full fledged DBA so I am curious what would people suggest? Should I continue with this schedule or how would I go...
